John Hall — Co-Founder, Bass

As co-founder of Hautewerk, John Hall is the band’s anchor — laying down steady, driving bass lines that give the music its foundation. His collaborative spirit and sharp musical instincts have been central to shaping Hautewerk’s distinctive sound from the very beginning. A strong lyric writer as well, John adds depth and narrative edge to the band’s songs, giving Hautewerk both weight and momentum.

Bob Hawkins — Lead Guitar & Vocals

A veteran of the Orange County music scene, Bob Hawkins has spent more than 35 years mastering genres from folk and rock to jazz. Along the way, he’s shared stages and studios with John Stewart, Shana Morrison, Bonnie Raitt, Los Lobos, and Kenny Rankin. As a founding member of the Missiles of October, Bob honed his craft in countless performances, building a reputation for precision, tone, and versatility. His seasoned artistry brings both depth and polish to Hautewerk’s live sound.

Ray Weston — Drums

Hailing from Scotland, Ray Weston built his reputation as one of London’s most in-demand session drummers before making the move to California. His résumé reads like a who’s who of rock and pop, including recordings with Del Shannon, Mick Jones, Andy Summers, Bill Wyman, Cliff Richard, Björk, and Gavin Rossdale. Ray spent a decade on the road with Wishbone Ash and later powered Iron Butterfly on their 2010 European tour. With Hautewerk, he drives the rhythm section with a rare blend of power, precision, and finesse.

Tom Ricci- Keyboards, Guitar & Vocals

A dynamic multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter, Tom Ricci grew up musically between the vibrant sounds of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Taiwan. With Hautewerk, he layers soaring keyboards, sharp guitar lines, and compelling vocals that add richness and texture to the band’s sound. Beyond Hautewerk, Tom has become an integral part of Southern California’s renowned tribute scene. His versatility and dedication to authenticity shine as he steps into the shoes of legendary frontmen: Chris Martin, Liam Gallagher, and Roland Orzabal.

Kenny Howes — Co-Founder, Vocals, Guitar & Keys

A gifted multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, Kenny Howes has released numerous solo albums, earning recognition as a leading voice in the power pop genre. His career has taken him across the United States, both as a performer and recording artist, and more recently as an alternate bassist for The Smithereens. As co-founder of Hautewerk, Kenny’s songwriting and musical vision were instrumental in shaping the band’s debut release and continue to influence its sound today.

Matthew Hill — Guitar & Drums

A Scottish-American musician with a rockabilly streak, Matthew Hill brought both guitar and drums to Hautewerk’s early years. His raw energy and versatility added grit and drive to the band’s formative sound, leaving a distinct mark on its beginnings.

Daniel Curtis — Keyboards

Daniel Curtis brought both precision and imagination to Hautewerk’s live performances. A versatile keyboardist, he kept the keyboards locked in and dynamic, driving Hautewerk’s live shows with energy and detail.

Chris Bradley — Keyboards

Chris Bradley was Hautewerk’s first live performance keyboardist, laying the foundation for the band’s rich, layered sound onstage. His playing added atmosphere and depth to early shows, helping shape the live identity that continues to define Hautewerk today.

Paul Brown — Drums

Raised in Memphis on a steady diet of southern rock, Paul Brown brought his versatile drumming west to the Orange County scene, where he became a fixture in multiple local bands. With Hautewerk, his groove-driven style and adaptability strengthened the rhythm section, adding punch and Southern flair to the band’s evolving sound.

Steve Anderson — Guitar & Vocals

Born in Red Wing, Minnesota, Steve Anderson built his reputation in Colorado during the 1970s with bands such as Rock Bottom. He later joined Hautewerk on guitar and vocals, where his artistry and passion became an integral part of the band’s sound. Steve remained a beloved member of the Hautewerk family until his passing in 2013, remembered for the spirit and heart he brought to every performance.
